Volunteers play a big part of The Old Trail Museum's success.  Our volunteer spirit begins with the Board of Directors who are dedicated to maintaining and expanding the contribution that The Old Trail Museum brings to the community.  For our summer operating season we have three potential areas for volunteers that are diverse and offer a variety of opportunities for service.  Be sure to specify which area you are most interested in when you email your resume.

Retail Shop Volunteer

Job Description:

Opens/Closes retail gift shop following established procedures.  Staffs gift shop during hours of operation.  Takes payment and gives change for admissions and gift shop sales.  Processes credit cards as needed.  Tracks museum attendance and documents guest statistics.  Maintains gift shop appearance during shift.  May answer the telephone on occasion.

Education/Skills Required:

Retail Sales, Customer Service, Cash Register, Credit Card Processing Machine and Telephone.

Administrative Volunteer

Job Description:

Assist Chief Executive Officer with administrative duties as needed.

Education/Skills Required:

Computer skills.

Programs Volunteer

Job Description:

Assists the Programs Director as needed.

Education/Skills Required:

Reliable and Flexible.

Paleontologist Volunteer 

Job Description:

Assists Paleontologist as needed.

Education/Skills Required:

Willing to listen, learn and help where needed.
