Job Description:

The successful candidate for this position will:

	Oversee the daily operations of the gift shop, collection of admissions, daily bank deposits, daily credit card batch processing, petty cash reconciliation and donation jar accounting.
	Create and maintain the operating schedule for the retail staff for the daily coverage for the hours of operation during the 2008 season.
	Supervise and Train Retail Clerks and Volunteers.
	Operate and maintain timekeeping program to record and track staff timecards to be appropriately paid and recorded as in-kind contributions for future budgetary and granting consideration.
	Assist the Chief Executive Officer as needed.

Education/Skills Required:

Management, organization, and computer skills are needed.

Retail Clerks

Job Description:

Opens/Closes retail gift shop following established procedures. Staffs gift shop during hours of operation. Takes payment and gives change for admissions and gift shop sales. Processes credit cards as needed. Tracks museum attendance and documents guest statistics. Maintains gift shop appearance during shift. May answer the telephone on occasion.

Education/Skills Required:

Retail Sales, Customer Service, Cash Register, Credit Card Processing Machine and Telephone.
