'Unearth the Mystery…Past and Present' with The Old Trail Museum located at the north end of Choteau, on US Highway 89.  

This non-profit museum reflects the rich natural and cultural history of Montana's pristine Rocky Mountain Front region.  Explore fossils, dinosaurs, Native American artifacts, grizzly bears, and the diverse and colorful local history within the Museum complex.  Other exhibits include A.B. Guthrie, Jr., Old Agency on the Teton, Jesse Gleason's art studio, the Old North Trail, Metis Cabin, and Choteau's last hanging.  

After touring the museum enjoy an ice cream from the ice cream parlor located in the museum complex.  There are shaded picnic tables for your convenience and plenty of room to park your RV.  For more information contact the museum office.   Click here for more information about the Montana Dinosaur Trail.

Hours of Operation - 2009 Summer Season

Open Daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting June 6, 2009 through August 23, 2009

Open Saturday and Sunday August 29 & 30 and September 5 & 6 including Labor Day, September 7, 2009

After hours and group tours by arrangement.
